Ocean View in Pahoa
Lolia Place is located off of the historic Red Road. All along the coast, the rocks are black lava, covered in jungle. At night, while driving, you may catch a glimpse of the resident white owls, or "Pueo"
Aerial View of Lolia's garden
The garden at Lolia place is right next to the communal area where you can meet with friends, read a book in the hammock, or eat a meal.
The food we serve is made with love and sourced locally either from our own grounds or from our local farmers markets.
You can share space with others by bunking in our dorm style rooms with solar powered outlets for cell phone charging.
If glamping is more your style, you can book your stay in one of our canopies on the outer perimeter, which offers two comfortable full size beds
Lolia's Wood Fired Hot Tub
enjoy the rustic hot tub at night after a long hike in the jungle, or seeing the lava flows.
Ecologically minded jungle living steps away from the Ocean...
The Lolia Comunity is an off-grid, ecologically sustainable, permaculture destination in the Puna district on the eastern side of the Big Island of Hawaii. The site is solar powered, and provides 100% of it's water from the rain which is stored in a state of the art water catchment system. The grounds have many foods growing from the bountiful papaya, macadamia nut, avocado, and mango trees, to pineapples, beans, taro, kale, kabocha squash, and more. It is a perfect site for retreats centered around conscious culture, yoga, dance, and sustainability.
